Speaking of which can someone contact Jon (I'll do it if no one will) to request that he update his DNS profile so that hdcolumbus.org points to here? That way people who don't know to look at the AVS forum will make it over here.

I believe nakedeye has the most contact with Jon. As for having Jon redirect the .org site here, I know that he is really busy with other matters and I'm not sure if he really has the time (or desire) to do so. If you'd like to take the lead on this, keep us updated to your findings.
Thanks!

I also sent him an email. Hopefully his life will settle down in the near term. I've been over to his place a few times for poker nights but that was the last I saw of him.

I have a new suggestion...
Is there any way in this BB software to add a field on the profile page where each user can list their home theater components? It might be able to help us diagnose any problems that anyone is having and plus it's just cool to see what everyone has.

Good suggestion whitlam, and welcome! I am currently investigating this and in the mean time I would ask that we use the signatures to display our information. The signature option can be found in the profile control panel and can be selected to always be attached, or you can attach it manually by selecting to do so in your post.
Here's mine:

Here's mine:
In addition, I've seen some of these lists in people's signatures that are really long (~10 lines), so you may try to use headings like "tuner" or "speakers" instead of listing every component separately. Also, I found you can turn the tag in BBCode down to about 7 or so to make the text take up less space while still being readable. Just add the [size=1] tags around the text in your signature and that'll make the text a little smaller.

If your last one is an example of making it smaller, with my monitor and/or my eyes, I can't read your signature
no complaint, just letting you know

He's got his set at 6 right now, so its even a bit smaller. I would agree that its very difficult to read though on my 20" monitor at 1600x1200.
For an example, this text is at size 7, and its even a bit small
Here is the text at size 8
And, here is the text at size 9
And finally with text at size 10

No offense taken. I've bumped mine up to size=10, so hopefully it's more readable now for those who are running higher rez displays. If we could all be so lucky to be using 20" LCD displays at 1600x1200! :D
Also, I've found that any of the text sizes below 10 using the BBCode in Mac OS X's Safari doesn't show any difference, it just shows as a minimum 10 size font. I checked out the page in Firefox and realized how small even the size 8 font was at 1280x854.
