Nice to see people finally coming out of the Who Dey closet
It was soo weird this weekend to be in freaking Morgantown, WV and hearing people cheer for the Bengals in a sports bar. I even had peoples over for a game a couple of times (cause' WBNS won't put them on). I'm forever a pessimist when it concerns the Bengals though......... 15 years from the last winning season will tend to do that to a fan :D

Do you really hate Ohio State, or just the fans? I know a lot of transplants that just can't stand Buckeyes fans because (a) they think that they are going to the NC every year, (2) they don't know crap about football, and (f) they're just really, really, annoyingg. Please note that I really don't like OSU fans either---but then again, while in Morgantown this weekend, I was quickly reminded that fans are fans are fans anywhere you go.

I just dont like to hear about it. I prefer pro sports growing up in a big 4 town. yes you are right that the fans do drive me nutz. they do think they are going to win every year and yes most dont know crap about football. I think its college fans are diferent from pro fans actualy and growing up in an area with no college, well the fans are different.
that being said i like it when they loose so people just shut thier pie holes for a week lol

I do cheer for OSU when they aren't playing Michigan. We need both teams to have good record for the "BIG GAME" to be more exciting!

I'm also in the "can't stand osu football" category. I've lived in central Ohio most of my life so I've learned to deal with it. I'm not much of a team sport person in general. That being said I enjoy going to BlueJackets and Crew games. I wouldn't watch them on tv but I enjoy the atmosphere of being out in those arenas.
Speaking of crazy osu fans did any of you catch the thread that was going on over at AVS a while back from someone complaining that the osu football game wasn't in HD but that the tennis US Open was? He kept saying that there were more OSU/Texas fans in the world than tennis. Of course forgetting the fact that the US Open one of the most attended sporting events in the world.

There may have been... I wasn't one of them (to state that there were more OSU/Texas fans than tennis); however, I did think that ABC Sports dropped the ball by not broadcasting it in HD.

MLB: Mets
NHL: Rangers
NFL: Giants
I have not followed a pro basketball team (Quest) since the ABL folded.
As you can guess, I'm a native of NYC- where you have to choose your team and stick with it. Sadly, the Mets and Rangers games are not made available in HD on satellite systems.

Haha these are my favorites as well. WHich is funny to us NYers because it usually goes Yanks,Rangers,Giants or Mets,Jets,Isles. I don't follow hockey much anymore though. Also since the Columbia Lions & Earlham College Hustling Quakers don't count, GO BUCKS! Oh ya and I'm a Crew season ticket holder but they are forgetable.

Did you catch the Grand Prix in Japan? That was an amazing event. By far the best event of the year. I just watched the Grand Prix in China last night (recorded from this weekend), not nearly as enjoyable. I think they should make it so that they leaders in the rankings go last so that they have to fight their way to the front like in Japan. This one in China was basically Alanso way out front the whole time. I also enjoy watching Kimi drive.

Yeah, the GP from Japan was outstanding. The rain during qualifying essentially created an inversion in the starting order, which short track racing fans here in the States have known for years to produce great racing. If you haven't checked it out before, there's a great Podcast called ForumulaPod that you should check out: link (http://www.formulapod.com/) (also available via iTunes)

I grew up near Dayton and lived in Cincinnati for a while, so I have an excuse. :D I'm old enough to have attended the 1988 AFC championship game at Riverfront Stadium (who dey) and the 1979 Who concert at Riverfront Coliseum where 11 fans died trying to get in the gates.
And, I'm old enough to remember Woody Hayes!
