Is anyone in this forum playing around with HD radio?

I've been looking around at some of the HD tuner options, and I'm thinking about getting one of the "transportable" versions - kind of like a Sirius radio with a car and home dock.

Anybody have any experiences they'd like to share?

I have a HD radio and its OK on FM but Am is useless. It will get 610 Wtvn and 1230 FYI ( or whatever they call is now), that is with an external indoor loop antenna. Outside amplified antenna gets 700 wlw and 760 wjr (which cuts in an out). Most AM stations are droping their HD carrier at night, since it is next to worthless, wish they had the old cquam AM stereo.
The FM side is a better story, numberous stations in Columbus that have 2 or more sub carriers, but not much reception out of town, again the sub carrier is to weak, I think only 10% of the power. In a car I don't know what it is like, Fm should be OK AM Im sure would fade if you were more than 15 miles away from the station. In the end I think it will be like the VCR and the old AM stereo. By the way, I believe HD stands for Hybrid Digital. FYI Kirk
