SNL in HD starting October 1

Saturday Night Live will start HD broadcasting October 1. The repeat of SNL that we show later that morning will be in SD.

As a point of interest, we now have the SNL SD studio cameras that were just taken out of service. Hopefully, we will put these in service very quickly. These cameras provide over 900 lines of SD resolution. They won't be kind to the anchors. The best part, they were free :D Regards

Shaun! Great to see you! Last I remember you were not alowed to go to non secure sites. You were/are a great asset around here.

We were first to ask and lucked out. These cameras will hold us until the HD transition is made. Sorry Nakedeye, not quite yet on the HD cams. You will definitely notice a difference though. We got a total of 5 cameras in the deal. I'm waiting for one more cable to fire them up for test. Hopefully all will light up and work. Sometimes when cameras are stored for a while they wake up cranky.

no realy begging for hd at this point, but 16X9 480i (or 900i) would be SWEET!!!!!!!!
