Does anyone have any affordable component video switchers they can recommend?

How affordable and how nice do you need? For about $100 you can get the System Selector Pro from BestBuy that has some manual switches on the front. Nothing very complex.
If you want a little better than I highly recommend the Zektor series of component switchers. I've got thier HDS4 model that has one in and 4 out. It switches via remote which was key for me since it's location in my house is in another room than the TV.

I picked up the one from Best Buy mentioned above and have been happy with it. I was worried some about bandwidth passing issues associated with cheaper switchers, but have not noticed any degradation with it. Of course, I am just using it currently to switch my XBox and my DVD player between one of the component inputs on my TV. My TW HDDVR box is dedicated to the other component input.

I also have that same Zektor switch.

If you are truly looking for a manual switch for just the component video - no audio, I've seen reports that this will do the trick from Radio Shack.

Yes, I know it's a composite AV switch, but it reportedly works w/ component video if you use the audio plugs. For $15 and a 30 day return, it might be worth trying. They also have a 4x1 version.

Hi folks, I just signed up and this is my first post to this forum. i'd like to thank everyone for all the excellent advice i've picked up here over the past few months.
we found a cheap manual component switcher at wallyworld for $18, works fine. can't find a make or model number. it's silver, 4 in, 1 out. 3 of the ins have component, S-video, composite, the 4th just has S and composite.
we actually use it backwards! have the DVR on the OUT, the TV and the PC monitor (Dell 24" ws) on 2 of the component INs. when we want to watch DVR on the PC, just hit the appropriate button and the signal passes right thru. that way, we can watch OTA (or cable from the QAM) on the TV, and DVR on the PC at the same time. also have a pair of wireless headphones hooked up to the amp, so we can listen to both as well. nice to have 2 HD monitors in the same room!

I'm thinking about buying this one. Well reviewed on Amazon.com. Only cost $64 (and I have a $25 GC to spend there).

I have an extra component swith box i no longer need that I bought from Ram Electronics for $50. I'd sell it to you for $25 if you want. It is a three in one out manual switch box. I can't tell the difference in using the box versus hooking directly up to the tv. Email me at kpeterm1@columbus.rr.com if you're interested.

I also have a radio shack component video switcher that I no longer need since I upgraded my receiver to one with component switching. It has 4 inputs and 2 outputs and you can program it to accept IR signals for switching very easily. I paid $50 for it about 6 mo's ago but would let it go for $30 if you're interested. here's the actual unit. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103918&cp=&origkw=component+video+switch&kw=component+video+switch&parentPage=search
The reviews on the radio shack site are pretty unfavorable, but for the record, I never had any problems w/ colored lines or anything with mine, running HD, and progressive scan.
