OK, hopefully this isn't too many, but it's hard to choose the good ones from my library of nearly 8,000 photos. We have a joke in architecture that goes something like "architects are the only ones who have more photos of buildings than people." :D
All photos taken with my 3.1 Megapixel Olympus C-730 Ultra Zoom (10x optical zoom), except for the Cinergy Field shot, which was taken with my old Kodak DC3400. Enjoy!

Looks like you're enjoying your new D70s quite a lot. As much as I've drooled over the D200 I'm waiting for Nikon to address the banding issue people are having as it would happen a lot with the images I end up taking. But since we're posting images here are a few of mine:

hehe...I actually bought a D200 this weekend. It was an inpulse buy. I went to cord to get an adapter for my monopod and saw the d200 in the case. I love it. Mine has absolutely no banding or anything like that. My guess is the effecting ones are a much smaller percentage than all the people complaining make it seem like.
I'm keeping the d70s as well as it's still a great camera. I'll use it as a spare body in situations where I would be swapping lenses alot. Plus, my girlfriend will get some use out of it.

Or just Mr Credit Card Debt will do.. ;)
Actually, like many people, it just happens to be the time of year when I can spend a bit more with things like tax returns coming. Also, I would like to turn photography into a part time business for some extra money, which also means all the camera stuff I've bought recently will be deducted from next years taxes.
Here's a 100% crop from a quick pic I took yesterday. Just a tease.. ;) (I linked it since it's pretty big still).

Here are a few more pics. The bike ones are from the Easyrider show at the Vet this weekend and were taken with the Nikon D200 w/17-55 f2.8 lens. The rose pics were taken with the 80-200 f2.8 lens with an extension tube. Between the bikes and the flowers, it was so nice to shoot something with some color (though I did monochrome the one rose pic).
I like all three bike pics, but I definitely put more post processing time in on the first one. The second 2 are a bit sloppy for me, but good enough for some web pics. ;)

Okay. I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought a Canon Digital Rebel XT Silver w/ EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 USM Kit. The prices have dropped so much with the announcment of the new models and the $100 mail-in-rebate really made it a steal. I should be receiving it early next week!

Great shots all around! I need to get some shots from my new XT posted.
BTW: I removed the "fixed" themes as options because no one was really using them; so, posting full-sized, in-line images should no longer be a problem (although we should try to keep them at a maximum of 800px width for our low screen-rez peeps).

...and I'm not just talking about image/build quality! I took the 70-200mm f/4L (http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=14&sort=7&thecat=27) out for the first time this past weekend to shoot a parade my nephew was in (Johnstown, Ohio). During the parade the white/beige body of the lens stood out and I received 4 or 5 positive comments about the lens mostly relating to jealousy, etc. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
About 20 minutes into the parade, I caught a glimpse of our 12th District Representative, Congressman Pat Tiberi (http://tiberi.house.gov/). I called out "Congressman Tiberi, give me a wave for a photo!" and he paused, turned, smiled, and gave me a wave (see pic below).
The parade paused for few minutes and he walked directly over to me and asked if I were an independent photographer. I replied that I was simply an amateur, learning while getting some shots of my nephew. He conversed with me for 3-4 minutes commenting on my setup and asking about how I got into photography and if I'd send the photo to him (I haven't yet).
This was a first for me and have no doubt, good or bad, that the attention was caused by the color of the lens body.

That's awesome!!
Thanks! I only wish that I wouldn't have cut his hand... I didn't have time to back out from 200mm because I was shooting at my 10 o'clock and quickly panned to my 2 o'clock. I was worried that the shot would come out over exposed because it was 1 p.m. and the sun was harsh where he was standing (at my 10 o'clock, I was shooting under foliage, with some good shadows). I'm sure glad for aperture priority!

Don't hold back on us, Jim! haha! Schweet shots!
hehe...I should get some real good ones soon. I got some more info for that workshop I'm attending in Chicago. One of the models there will be Ms. April (Holley A. Dorrough). They encouraged attendees to bring the issue to get it signed. ;)

Good job with the fireworks. I took some over the weekend as well, but they only turned out ok. I had Alie sitting beside me with my niece jumping on her and bumping into my tripod. Plus, I used manual focus and I was off by a little so they're not as sharp as I would have liked.
I also wasn't very close at all. It looks like you are pretty close there. I noticed you were stopped down quite a bit which would definitely help with the focus. I had my aperture opened up quite a bit because it was so dark where I was and I was pretty far away from them. Unfortunately, the smaller depth of field from that gave me less room for error on focus and I missed.

Thanks dude! I did a lot of reading up over the past few days on how to take pictures of fireworks. I actually wasn't that close at all--I was shooting from across the freeway and used my 70-200mm at the beginning set to 70mm and my 28-70mm at the end set to 28mm. Most of the ones I shot from 28mm, I cropped 100% because there was too much black sky (I'll post an uncropped shot). Keeping as little light as possible was key for me. 100 ISO, f/25-22, and shutter speeds of 25s to 8s. I also had my wired remote shutter that I switched to automatic--I then sat back and enjoyed the show :D
Also--I switched to manual focus; however, I turned it all the way around to the line directly before infinity--I never had to focus once.

Yeah, I probably would have been better with less light. I was on the lake, so I was trying to get the lights from the lake in it too. Here is one of mine.

I would have loved to have a foreground like that Jim. My Manfrotto monopod with tri extensions worked out really well. I was set up in knee-deep grass over looking the freeway and it held it's own with 8+ lbs. on it. It was pretty windy last night too so I set up next to a small tree to help battle tripod movement (it's a little less stable than a regular tripod)--I was lucky not to have any little ones jumping around me as well :D
I had one of your fellow Nikon enthusiasts set up close to me and he walked over to discuss my setup. He asked about my settings and such and mentioned that he shot some fireworks on the 4th that did not come out so well. I asked what his settings were and he was shooting at like 2.8, 800 ISO, manually focusing, and a 10s shutter. I explained to him why his shots may have not come out so well and he agreed to give my settings a try on his D70. Afterwards he said that he was extremely pleased with the results.
