Hi,

I am in Victorian Village and just bought a Radioshack DA-5200 antenna (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2253765) to hook up to a pcHDTV5500 card in my computer. I figured I didn't need anything too fancy since I should be pretty close to any towers. I see that WOSU is up north of town though.

I have the antenna sitting in a north facing 2nd floor window. I can pick up 13, 14, 21, 28, and 46. I'm surprised I can pick up 46 (WWHO) but not 34 (WOSU).. although I see WOSU is a lower powered channel according to wikipedia.

Anyway, do you guys think I should be able to pick up WOSU with this antenna or do I need a more powerful one? I'm not sure it'd be worth the extra money to me, but it would be nice to pick up pbs with this one if I can.

well, after messing around with things and mounting the antenna outside the window, I can pick up the station.. just with a low signal level. I'm going to try picking up an amplifier to see if that helps (abc and fox are also a little iffy,, and I can't split to multiple tvs or nothing but cbs and nbc come in)

Guy, you should also be able to get WDEM on channel 17....they are on the channel 10 tower, but since they are on lower power you may have to have the antenna pointing directly towards that tower to receive it. They have Universal Sports on 17.1 , Telemundo on 17.2 and America One and local programming on 17.3. Glad you can get WOSU with their subchannels with your antenna relocated.....for me, that is one that I would do the extra work/amplification to receive.
