I read that Sinclair has signed an agreement to broadcast theCoolTV network as a digital sub-channel on 34 of the 35 stations that it owns and that it will roll out in the next 60-90 days. Does anyone know about this? I'm assuming that we are not the station not getting it because Rabbitears.com has posted that it will be a sub-channel on WTTE. I was intrigued by the thought of this since it is sort of difficult to find a real music video on any of the 20 whatever channels that Viacom has on Time Warner. theCoolTv network launched in 2009 (not to be confused with cooltv, which went off the air shortly before that) and features videos, but is supposed to be tailored to each individual market.
Here is a link, looks like we have it in Columbus. Any idea when it starts?

I shall wait and see when 28.2 gets turn on again.
Cool TV is suppose to send the station some equipment for the channel, when it arrives and is working it will be on 28.2 very shortly there after.
I heard this past week that the equipment that Cool TV is sending is to arrive sometime mid-June.
I heard this past week that the equipment that Cool TV is sending is to arrive sometime mid-June.
None of the equipment from CoolTV has arrived yet, have no updated information.:dunno:
Just got off the phone to David Hempe at Cool TV---they are supposedly sending the server equipment this week to stations, and that the channel should be on the air by July 21 here in Columbus. He told me they were delayed debuting on some stations due to the network's participation in an event in Milwaukie.
Still no .2 network-----Guardian has missed yet another deadline period to put the station on the air.....this deadline was going to be in the April to June range, and of course, it's July 7th....doubt if we see this one EVER go on the air.

That the .2 Network does indeed appear dead begs the question - Did not the city of Columbus give the Guardian folks an economic development grant worth $20,000 and a 5 year tax abatement and wasn't the state going to maybe give them over a million dollars as well? Do they have to pay that back? Because so far, the city of Columbus could have given me an economic development grant and I could have set it on fire in my driveway and we'd have the same net result (sorry I know this is the wtte thread and this is a tad off subject)
Great news about the cooltv network, by the way.
Yep, the city gave them grants to get this on air and for them to create jobs....plus they have 15 million for selling 51 to TBN...so wonder what have they waiting on?
OK back ON topic....I am looking forward to Cool TV coming on too. Hopefully it won't go defunct like the other muisc channel that was on 28.2 originally.
Just got word today that we will be receiving our Coot TV box of equipment sometime in the beginning of August .
Well thats why it's not on the air today.....I guess that back in February, the news was that it was supposed to be on within 60 to 90 days. But if it truly does happen in early August, that will work------
FYI Received word that the box is to arrive August 20th. I am not going to hold my breath though, I don't want to turn blue. I also remember a date of June 15th as well. The 20th is a Friday, Fridays and Mondays are always nuts and we can never get anything planned completed on either of those days.
OK I am glad that I did not hold my breath, no boxes of equipment have shown up yet and no update on delivery :(

I starting to think theCoolTV Columbus will become the next .2 network
Wonder if any of the other Sinclair stations have started to broadcast the station? I can't understand (with all of the stations that Sinclair owns that this channel will be on) why the Cool Tv folks aren't shipping the boxes like mad to get themselves on the air?

Still not on the air yet in Cincinnati (64.2) or Dayton (22.2) either.
A few months ago, they must have been testing in Cincy as 33.2 came up on my TV (their physical channel #) but with no video.

TheCoolTV is broadcasting on some LPTV stations. I don't think it will be the next .2 Network. BTW since GTN is going to broadcast on 23.2 in September. According to the wiki page that GTN suppose to become .2 Network. It might happen.
