Or how about putting the school closings on the DT-2 channels? Put a message every 15 minutes on the main channel to tune there if you are interested.

Radio stations have gutted their news departments. Local TV stations are really the last place available for breaking news! In the old days, WBNS, WCOL, WTVN all used to have 24-hour news departments. WTVN now packs it in at 7:00 pm each night.

We should encourage Channel 6! Keep up localism and keep up the good work!

Interesting idea, and I would think regular captions would work for that. IIRC a digital TV channel can have several different caption subchannels (for different languages, etc.), so one could be the closings list.

The Dish billing is pretty complicated if you ask me. I couldn't even tell you what package that I have because they seem to change too often for me to keep track.

It's complicated, of course! There is only 1 DVR fee per account but they are removing the $5 phone line credit. You're 2nd 622 will be $17 a month!
