Has anyone noticed that WCSN flash cut to digital and now has 4 sub channels? The interesting thing is that the main channel is Azteca America and the other 3 channels have text that say you can rent the channel and a phone number to call.
Now, I am not in the broadcast business, but to me it seems like airing infomercials for a year, the call letters and a test pattern for 3 months, and then a Spanish language network that we already have on channel 48 (and soon on 25.1) can't really be turning a profit for these people...can it?
Who are these people?
I am getting the signal here on the east side at around 40 per cent on the Zenith upstairs...but it breaks up every few seconds. For curiosity's sake, I may try to call the number to see who it is....not sure what part of the country the 214 area code is from .

I get the signal at 70% and error free and it breaks up every few seconds for me as well. The problem appears to be on their end.

Does WCPX LP48 have anything to do with having Azteca America broadcasting on WCSN LD?

I have no signal--Are they on right now, or do I have my antenna pointed in the wrong direction (toward Dayton)? I'm in East Columbus.

HDTV newbie, if I'm not mistaken, I saw a map of where the tower is, and the map showed it in the OSU area, about 4 miles north of downtown.
I tried calling their phone number that's on subchannels with the color bars just now, and got a busy signal.......kind of curious who is running this channel.

I should have given a better explanation ... My antenna is pointed toward Dayton from about I-270/Main because sometimes I get the Dayton channels. I can also get channel 17 with the antenna in this position. It sounds to me like I have to point due west or slightly to the northwest to get the station.
Where are you? Are you the guy in Lancaster?

Actually I am just a bit north of you up one exit.......I am 1 and 1/2 miles east of Mt Carmel East off Broad Street.....

I just received an email form the GM of WCPX LP48 and they LMA 32.1. No word if or ever that WCPX LP48 analog signal will be turn off on December first.

This would seem to answer the question why a digital channel would dupe/"simulcast" the signal of the same programming from a low power station in the same area......if someone already has a tower and transmitter up, why not "lease" the subchannel space(s) instead of spending the money to do it from scratch?

Now that I think about it, I'm probably closer to Broad, but use the Main St. ramp coming home. Excellent spot for TV reception, except for WHIZ (too low), which kind of bums me out. The ground is high near Broad and Waggoner, I bet that area's a great spot for reception. I bet you could get WHIZ there with very little effort. Why you'd want to is another matter, however.

It appears that KQAT AKA The Promiseland Network is currently airing on WCSN. Time for another re scan to see if WCPX started to air on UHF25.

I'm new here.
Is WCSN HD on the air yet? I can't seem to pick it up in downtown Columbus.
Is WCPX on HD UHF25 yet? They seem to be off of their analog channel UHF48 but no trace of them on HD UHF25.
