Dual Buffer on DirecTV DVR

Does anyone else have the latest software upgrade for the DirecTV DVR? It's been out for a couple weeks now. I just got it yesterday.

The most prominent feature of the new software version is DoublePlay, which allows you to toggle between two live buffers by pressing the down arrow, just like the old DirecTiVos.

My blue lights were on last night, so I must have gotten an update (no power failures yesterday). I didn't try the dual-buffer thing, but I *did* notice that the red button brings up a panel that shows sports scores on sports stations. I tried it on NFLHD and the SportsMix channel.

It would be nice if DirecTV popped a "TVMail" message into the box when they do an update with some kind of change log (dumbed down, of course, for the general public).

Got mine yesterday too. The red button for sports scores have been there for a while, it shows up whenever you're on a sports station.

I haven't checked my "mailbox", never do, but mine does pop up a message the first time I use it after an update which runs down some of the new features.

I like the way the double play works.
