I am sitting in front of my TV in Far East Columbus, about 80 miles from the towers. According to TV-Fool, my strongest Dayton stations should be:

1. WHIO
2. WBDT
3. WDTN

Until today, the most likely station to come in was WBDT. Today, my reception is consistent with what TV-Fool says. WHIO was coming in loud and clear, WBDT had some pixelation, and WDTN was black until later in the evening. I was afraid I was going to lose WHIO since the old antenna was directional, and thought maybe it was beaming more power this way? Since the change, my signal has improved, I'm thinking it's because of the higher position on the tower?

I am simply amazed to be getting these stations so regularly. I know July is tropo season, but we are well into late August.

We are late into August. I thought tropo season was in July ... can I expect these stations regularly with a suburban outdoor antenna?
