Out of Market DTV stations

I rescan my DTV tuner and able to pick up WHIZ DT and WSAZ from WV using a RCA flat antenna. WSAZ broadcast on UHF 23.

Is GTN23 off the air?

Wow, you were able to get WSAZ! That used to be a favorite TV station of mine in my younger days living in Portsmouth. To be a small market station, they have always had a great news department, and they must treat their personnel well, for they have many folks who have tenures of 10 years or greater.

As for GTN 23, they are still there in all their analog splendor...

WSAZ ERP is 1000KW. I'm guessing that the tower is pointed towards Ohio

Right now WHIZ is still comming in and WSAZ is not. I'm going to keep WSAZ in the DTV tuner memory. WSAZ subchannel is MYTV. It have better syndicated programming. Cheers at 11pm.

I do have the antenna amp still connected to the tuner.

The RCA indoor antenna is great.
