at this minute: typing on a forum ;). from work. while a program loads on my second pc.
at this juncture of my life: preparing to move in w/ the girlfriend! New couch/loveseat will be delivered the day of the move, along w/ (UGH) Insight Cable installation because the girlfriend doesn't want a dish on the balcony. buying pillows, buying lamps, buying home decor that no man would ever dream of owning (I let her pick things, but I have the power to VETO!!). My current apt is in shambles, as tons of items sit in boxes all around. Not only the things i've packed, but the new toaster ovens / blenders / knive sets / prefab bedroom furniture / prefab coffee + end tables / ikea bags full of small but awesomely priced items / pictures for the wall / mirrors... i've basically bought an entire new life except electronics. 30 days to go til the real fun begins!
i also spend a lot of time pondering the purchase of a 300$ish LCD from walmart, like an Emerson or something, to be used as a WiiTV in the spare bedroom. This, in addition to the 500$ lcd i plan to buy for the actual bedroom ;). Decisions, decisions.

Fight Night 3 / 4 are the only sports game i've played since NES (Tecmo Bowl and Baseball Stars), I tend to not really care about sports except Buckeye football!! I love it that I'm actually good at Fight Night tho. Makes me feel like a jock.

I'll be there the week before. Have you been there before? What area are you going to stay in?
Right now, we're looking at going to Nag's Head first. Probably going to pick up a weekly rental kayak and thinking about renting a jet ski for a couple of hours. Then we are going to head down to Hatteras Island and will likely make it to Ocracoke for the end of our trip. We are bringing a camper to stay in and will probably do quite a bit of surf fishing and I would also like to try my hand at some spear fishing.
Anybody here have a spear fishing gun or pole spear? ;)

We are going to the north end of the Banks. Very quiet and not much to do but surf fish and maybe read a good book. There is a lot more activity where you are going. You should find plenty of things to do. I'm sure you will have a geat time. Sorry no spear gun.

Last year I got a lamp online from Laptops4less. That was a mistake. Put it in my TV and it would not even turn on. Sent the lamp back and of course was charged a restocking fee. Never again!!

I just dropped $195 on a sweet payment to the county clerk, for going 56mph in the first 20 feet of the 45mph zone of 315...
While the cop was in his car, I thought to myself "bawling women be damned... this cop will see my 7 years of flawless driving habits and will let me go w/ a warning."
he didn't.
being a good citizen for 7 years is ignored if you f' up once. such is life.
(at least my brother fixed my car's a/c for $30, when we thought it was going to take... around $195. ugh. you win. you lose.)

My last ticket was about 10 years ago. I passed some guy sideways with the rear tires lit up after he pulled out right in front of me. Should have gotten the book thrown at me but he gave me one for "squealing tires". I was trying so hard not to laugh at him for letting me off easy.

I just got a ticket for 79mph on 161 right where the limit changes to 55 last week (east side right before 270 split). He was one of those morons that sprints out in front of oncoming traffic to waive me over. He's lucky I was paying attention and have really good brakes on my car. I haven't even been pulled over for 6-7 years and was going the same speed as the rest of traffic.

I went camping this past weekend too! I went up northeast to Mohican and stayed at a campground around there. We went on like a 4 mile / 3 hour rafting trip down the river, and were easily the drunkest people of the day. It rained a ridiculous amount while we rafted, and we had giant water cannon wars between our two rafts of 8 people... it was a great weekend. My girlfriend dried out our tents yesterday, they were a mess after the muddy weekend.
Today... is my last full day in my current apartment. This has been months in the making... and I finally move tomorrow!!! Insight cable is installed around 3-5 (/sigh), couches are delivered at sometime in the afternoon, and the majority of the move will be completed using my girlfriend's Toyota Matrix. That thing is damned handy. Most of our furniture is new, and of the Target / Ikea level of quality, so it's all in boxes and can be easily moved w/o a truck. Her brother's coming w/ a truck around 4-5 to get our beds, my tv stand I don't feel like dismantling, and her current dresser for our spare bedroom.
Wooooooo! Finally!!!

Nice car. My last car required me to fly to North Carolina to get the exact model I wanted. The local places just couldn't do it. The recent purchase of my Jetta though was fairly easy from a local dealership. I also flew down to Florida last summer to get a car which was an experience.
As for me, we are buying a new house on Friday. Moving from Hilliard to Gahanna. Time to research if my antenna will get all the channels.

hot damn, snodgrass... that car's badass. GPS built into the dash?
Yeah, I wanted the GPS options because it also bundles the Bluetooth for my phone and some other features. The car is pretty much as loaded as it can get.

There was only one IS350 in the state, Dublin Lexus, and it didn't have GPS and their starting price was higher. It was also black, and with my other car being black (an MR2 which I went to Cincinnati to get), I figured one black car to keep clean was plenty. I considered flying, but figured driving would be less hassle since it was such a short trip. I chose Maryland, in the outer D.C. area, because there were @10 cars in that area that matched what I wanted. This one was my first choice as it had the most features and was the only one that was Lexus Certified and the color that I wanted.
Congrats on the new house! That is my short list of purchases too, we rent a house right now. I just haven't decided where I want to tie myself down to for an extended amount of time. I've thought about moving south for some warmer winters, but don't know yet.
