Good article in the Dispatch today 6-24-09 on HD tv reception and the associated problems. Sounds like all is not lost if you are "over the cliff". Complain to the station if your can't get them, otherwise they don;'t know they have a problem with their signal.

I always think of there being 3 TV bands, so I view it as WSYX switched from VHF-LO to VHF-HI rather than just 'stayed VHF'. The dual UHF/VHF-HI antennas are much less unwieldy than a full VHF/UHF combo.

What's the terrain like in Licking county, I thought it was pretty flat.

Note that WSYX wants to move to UHF (channel 48), according to the info at http://www.rabbitears.info/ss/, but I don't know how to determine the current status of such things.
