What's up with the Buckeyes not being in HD.


Why is it there are two other games in HD going on at the same time, But not the Buckeyes. When it happens... the world will be a better place. :D

Funny you should ask that because ESPN just announced this morning that the Ohio State/Penn State game will be on ESPNHD @ 7:45 PM ET on October 8:

I'm just glad they decided to have it on ESPN HD that weekend rather than ESPN2 HD. Although I have DirecTV, I'm much more excited that it's going to be on in HD for more people. I was pulling hard for Penn State to win this past weekend, because I knew if they didn't, we'd get ESPN2 HD.

I'm so jacked that this game is in HD. We've all been waiting for quite awhile for this--and have seen about every other team in Ohio in HD accept for the Buckeyes (get off your ass ABC Sports!). A little bit of research has brought to my attention that this is actually the 2nd OSU HD game. WBNS-DT actually carried the FIRST college football game ever broadcast in HD with the 1998 Buckeyes opener at West Virginia. Needless to say, I didn't have HD back then :(

Anyone here happen to catch this game in HD in 1998?

there has ben more osu hd games. i specificly remember a loos to wisconsin was on espn a few years ago. you know the one where that bastard robert renoylds was choking the qb?

Yep, you're right. That was the first year of ESPN HD (2003). I had forgotton about that one--of course it was the first loss since the year before the National Championship season so maybe I forgot about it on purpose :wink:

Can you recall any others? I've searched all over and I personally can't remember any more.

eh dont know, and personaly dont realy care. I only remember that one cause they lost and were exposed for the dirty players they realy are

Oh Jaret, don't hate the playa's baby, hate the game! :lol:

At least for this week I'll be able to see all the dirtiness in HD (well HD Lite on DirecTV)...

Anyone catch INHD's Fields of Glory: Ohio Stadium? It was excellent. even saw a few people I knew in the crowd/tailgate shots!
