I'm planning on dropping satellite and going OTA only in about a month. So, has anyone else on this forum done this?

I dropped Dish last summer haven't looked back. My wife and I rarely watched anything that wasn't on network TV so they added expense of satellite just seemed unnecessary. We're running Vista Media Center and using 2 HDHomeRun boxes to allow us to record 4 shows at the same time. Throughout the week there are three shows on simultaneously that we want to watch and the Dish box just didn't allow that to be done in HD. We then view all the content on the Xbox360 connected to our TV. That way the media center computer doesn't have to be super powerful. I'm running it all on a mac mini.

We decided to drop Time Warner about 2 months ago and love the savings. We were paying about $70/month to them for HD service, one hd dvr, one hd box, and one digital SD box. I have been using an iMac with the eyetv software to record shows and then export them for apple TV to be viewed later on my apple tv. It's not as easy as having the TW Dvr service but I'm looking into the Media Center setup with the new windows 7 OS.
