One of NEP's two new HD trucks, and it's compliment of 20 Sony cameras, will be first used at the 2006 US Open on NBC. The Senior PGA Championship in Edmond, Okla., May 25-28 has been scheduled as a shakedown telecast for the unit before it does the US Open in June.

Big change in 2007, NBC's coverage of The Players Championship , also utilizing NEP gear, will transition from analog to HD.

In the TV compound of 12 analog and SD trucks at this year's TPC the only HD device was a lonely DirecTV dish.

Are you talking about the 2006 US Open for golf or tennis?

Awesome. A couple of years ago, there were a decent number of golf tournaments in HD, but since then its been pretty much dry. Hopefully we can get back to at least getting the major tournaments in HiDef.
