This isn't really related to HD, more to do with how TW bills things. I recently moved to an apt. where my high speed internet is included in my rent. So naturally I called Time Warner and told them I don't need Road Runner anymore but would like to keep my cable service as is. I get a bill today, and see my bill now sans ISP, is only about $13 less and comparing the line by line items, everything has gone up. For instance for my January bill Standard Service was around $20, this month it is $33.

Is this how they do it with the bundle? You get a significant discount on each item because of the bundle? Pretty annoying, but I'm pretty sure it'd be a waste of time to call them.

I thought it was the other way around: you get a reduction in internet service if you are a cable tv customer. I've never been able to figure their pricing. Seems like two people could have the exact same service and pay different amounts.

Yeah you would have to call TW customer service for an explanation.

I have TW cable with Digital Cable Service, , 2 digital cable boxes, 2 cable cards, HD Gold, HBO, Showtime etc... along with Road Runner. I called them when Road Runner Turbo came out in Spring 2008 which would have cost me $10 more a month. So I said what the hell, I will try it out and if I don't get the speed increase I will just cancel it. So I called them and when I went to add it the customer service girl said something like "let me see if I can work out some sort of package deal". When all was said and done after adding Road Runner Turbo, my bill instead of being $10 MORE a month (like I expected) turned out to be around $7 to $10 LESS. Which was nice, but go figure...

So I would recommend anyone who has been a TW customer for a while, give them a call and see if there is something they can do to lower your cable bill.
