An article from the Columbus Dispatch says that RTN 4.2 is available on Time Warner Channel 80, Insight 431 and WOW Channel 30 with an AT&T to be announced.

I presume on 80, it's presented as a regular and not an "HD" channel?

I called my sister that has Time Warner cable and she couldn't seem to find it. Her channels skipped from 79 to 90 or something like that. She wasn't sure what "tier" of cable she subscribed to and didn't seem savvy enough (or interested enough) to do a re-scan.

Does anyone else have Time Warner and is it on Channel 80 yet???

What subscription tier would be required to get it with your channels?

RTN is on time warner channel 80. You have to have the digital cable tier to get the OTA subchannels (80, 92, 96 and 99). Your sister has expanded basic (at least on that TV) and so the channels skip from 70 to 98. And, just like the OTA signal, it is not HD.

If this is the case, that she has expanded basic, then she might not have a box from time warner. If that is the case that the tv is plugged directly into the wall and she has a digital tuner in her tv,then RTN is broadcast by time warner on channel 90.2

The local digital stations carried by Time Warner are not encrypted, so a newer TV with a QAM tuner can get them without a converter box. TW doesn't advertise the real channel/streams they are on and can change over time.

I get my HD over the air, so it doesn't matter much to me where they are on cable.

Currently I can locate:

78.1 WSYX HD
78.2 WSYX (this)
78.3 WTTE
84.1 WBNS
84.2 WOSU HD
84.3 WOSU Ohio
84.5 WOSU Plus
90.1 WCMH DT
90.2 WCMH retro
90.3 WWHO

From what I can tell, TW is carrying the raw data streams from the source and not trying to reencode to compress the data further.
