ESPN HD and ESPN2 HD announced today that across both services, fans will now be able to catch up to 12 Major League Baseball Division Series games in the first week of October.

This is great news! I remember that Fox had just switched over to 720p from Fox Widescreen during the NCS & ALCS last year and only had a couple of the games in true 720p due to the football schedule taking up all of their trucks. This will be a great week for HD and although I'm a Reds fan, I'll be pulling for Cleveland!

Sweet, it will be nice to see that ESPN will be showing more baseball in HD. Compared to last season, it should be a good fall with NCAA Football, NFL Football, NHL Hockey and MLB Playoffs.

Many HD sporting events to watch!
