Awhile ago I think I read a suggestion here of boycotting sinclair or something etc.
I think it would be very worthwhile to spend an hour or so keeping a list of all the local companies that advertise on Fox and ABC and to write them all letters/emails letting them know that as a Time Warner subscriber we don't watch those channels.
As HD subscribers we are in a more attractive demographic with supposedly more disposable income so advertisers should be upset that they are not reaching these attractive consumers.
If Sinclair starts to see advertising dollars dwindle or even the threat of it then perhaps we'd see something happen.
Sinclair has TWC by the balls now but hopefully we can help turn the tide.
I know I'll DVR several hours of FOX and ABC to just see who is advertising and will send out letters to them (that'll be a first, skipping the shows to watch the commercials!)
Is anyone else on board?
Maybe we can start a list on this thread of local advertisers with their contact info and each of us can write them.
It would also be good to know the numbers of HD subscribers TWC has... anyone privy?
