With these in theory hitting the shelves in 2 weeks time is anyone pulling the trigger?

I am on the fence as I have yet to find any locally with a demo unit?

I cant speak for everybody, but I want to wait until the blu-ray/hd-dvd issue is settled(if ever) or until somebody releases a model that does both formats and is reasonably priced...

With the price point being where it it's at currently, and the Blu-ray situation--I think I'm going to wait right now. Xbox 360 is going to be releasing an HD-DVD drive for the system this year as well, I may just wait for that.

My biggest hold up is that so far all HiDef players only output at HDTV resolutions through the HDMI connection as far as I know. My CRT projector used component inputs. I have the same issue with pretty much all of the upconverting DVD players. I'll have to wait and see how that issue is worked around.
