Dish Rain Fade

Anyone else suffer rain fade around 8:50 this evening? (Tues 8/5) Or am I the only one yet again...:mad:

Just seemed to me like a bunch of clouds in the area.:confused:

I'm out too. Checked the radar on WCMH, and there's some nasty looking stuff in Illinois but no closer(?)

Well, at least we know it's not our equipment. Must be something to the south that we just can't see on radar.

Dish Network Satellite Outage

On Tuesday Night Dish Network customers lost their service for close to 40 minutes. Viewers reported losing signals from the 61.5, 110 and 119 orbital locations. The reason for the outage was believed to be a large storm at Dish Network’s Cheyenne, Wyoming uplink center. This outage happened at the start of primetime and many customers were unable to get through to customer support. Those who did get through were told that it was an issue at the uplink center. That had to be a huge storm; I can’t remember any storm knocking out transmission to 3 orbital locations at the same time.

Just start DVR'ing all of the "No Reservations" on Travel Channel HD.

DVR and Locals are the saving grace for me losing satellite.
