Anyone else out there seeing pixelization every 10 seconds or so while watching WCMH? I get the signal OTA through my DISH HD DVR. I think that this has been happening for me over the last couple of weeks.
It's not the whole picture, only a thick horizontal line of pixels across the screen. It doesn't render it unwatchable but it's mildly irritating.

yeah, i've had issues with wcmh-dt for a couple weeks, except i also lose the signal once in a while. i've got dish-dvr also. i think it could be leaves and all the wind we've had lately, but maybe there's an issue between wcmh and our dvr.

I forgot to mention that the sound hiccups a bit too.

Well I get the pixelization every three days. It only last a few seconds. Their is more pixelzation on Weather Plus since that is a re-feed of the internet broadcast. Since I live downtown C-Bus, I'm close to the DTV towers. I'm just using a passive HDTV/DTV with a "gain" dial antennas for my EDTV with a DTV box (LG Brand) and my 32 inch LCD HDTV. (Have a Mac Mini with WinXP SP3 installed., connected to my 32 inch LCD HDTV as my all in one media box. Since most networks post their shows online the day after or later online plus netflix insant play feature ect ect. Plus Cable and the lesser Dish compress the HD feed.)
It's sort of weird when watching NBC4 news now since I'm about less than a mile from their new studio.

I having the same issue, and it's really terrible right now with the Stanley Cup. I called the number listed in the Quality Control thread. The engineers are aware of the issue, but they're not sure what the problem is.

Yeah, I just got online to post the same. It's almost unwatchable tonight. Frequent screen freeze ups now too. Do you have Dish Network, ThomasC? WCMH had a major issue with Dish receivers about a year ago if I remember correctly.
I just emailed Debra at WCMH about the issue.

Nope, I'm watching with an antenna. The signal is coming in fine, so it's a problem at the station.

I'm using an OTA antenna array in south Dublin and I do not have any satellite. I'm using the converter built in the television. The WCMH signal is strong, but the audio/video hiccups make it unbearable for my wife so I didn't get to follow the Stanley Cup finals in HD. I hope they get this figured out prior to the Olympics or they will wish management never heard of me. All the other channels in Columbus come in just fine. No excuse in my opinion, not when they are forcing everyone to use the DTV channel.

this was real bad last night and i have a 95% signal strength. it is not the strength of the signal, it is something at the station. i know they moved, but they are still working the bugs out.

I got an email from Debra at the station. They have a digital microwave link that has a converter module going bad. They ordered a replacement, but won't get it until Friday morning.
WCMH is so responsive to things like this. As is WBNS. Sounds like the problem will be fixed fairly soon.

Plus Cable and the lesser Dish compress the HD feed.)
Cable doesn't compress the HD feed.
At least,TW and WOW don't. I haven't checked Insight's feed.

This new equipment was installed yesterday so the issue should now be fixed.

Good news getting a 85% signal strenght for WCMH DT and still getting pixels is not good. I'd set up my DVR (i.e my Mac Mini with DVR software and a external 1TB hard drive) to record it. Just to see how it goes.
