I am looking for a HD set to fit into a space that is literally 40" wide. Though I leaned toward plasma originally, no sets are that narrow. I then looked at LCD sets and have sort of narrowed it down to either a Samsung LN40A650 or a Sony KDL-40Z4100.
Any comments on the choices? Any other options that people would suggest?

I will be using the TW cable box, if that makes any difference. It is also my second set and my DVD player is hooked up to my other set.

Thanks in advance for advice.:)

I would choose the Samsung. They continue to set the standard for LCD.

The only bad thing I have heard about it is that there are problems with glare.

I have a Samsung DLP, which I really like.

I've calibrated lots of Samsungs and when I am in the market for an LCD, that's what I'm getting. They have a great pic! Incredible pic after calibration!
