Does anyone know what OTA Directv uses?
They charge $50 for it and it is free to install if you purchase HD Tivo.
I currently use a Trek on a basement TV with good success.

I've read about a couple of different antennas that DirecTV has been installing--including the Winegards gs1000 (Square Shooter) and gs-2vrd--both receiving mixed results.

Just to let everyone know...
Directv installed the Winegard Sensar TV Antenna (Model GS-1100). He said that is what they have been installing outside (for most). I am able to pick up WBNS-DT (CBS), WCMH-DT (NBC), WSYX-DT (ABC), WTTE-DT (FOX), and WOSU-DT (PBS). I was not able to pick up UPN-53.

I also have the GS-1100 that DirecTV installed, it works great for me. I live in Baltimore, which is about 28 miles SE of Columbus (~10 miles from Pickerington). I get the digital signals from WSYX, WTTE, WBNS, WCMH, PBS, and UPN (although in bad weather UPN goes out). My TiVO HD DVR seams this into the program guide nicely. Hope that helps.

I'm in the market for an OTA HD antenna that I can mount on the same pole my D* dish on at the back of my condo. (ground pole) I'm in Gahanna so most of the HD transmitters are 10-12 miles SE of me. I've narrowed it down to one of the Winegard GS models, however I would be open to other recommendations.
Currently I'm debating if I should get the unpowered GS-1100 or the powered GS-2200. Although I'm close to the transmitters, I'm concerned about purchasing an unpowered unit b/c (1) I'm mounting it close to the ground, (2) I'm in a condo complex where building proximity is close and (3) have a bad taste in my mouth from pour reception from unpowered indoor antennas I've had previously.
Does anyone have experience with the powered GS-2200? Do you need an electrical outlet in close proximity to the antenna itself?
