Does anyone have firewire out working on a Time Warner SA3250?
I've got mine hooked up to my MythTV setup and I can change channels via firewire but I get no output streaming output even for the OTA channels.
Thanks!

What device is it connected to? All firewire ports are active in our system. (CP protection screen) Firewire enable always

I've got it hooked up to MythTV, which is an open source Linux DVR I build on a home pc.
I suspect that the problem is on the PC side but wanted to confirm. I can change channels using the firewire connection. I also see the connection on the go from Idle to Active in the Diagnostic menu on the 3250 when I attempt to record from channel 714.
I have Passport 3.3 Build 017. Evidently there is a bug w/ this build that sets the flag permanently to 'Copy Once' instead of 'Copy Freely' if you tune to a copy protected channel until you reboot. This is corrected in Passport 3.3 Build 029. I called to try to get them to push the upgrade to my box but got nowhere.
Even w/ Build 017 however, I'm having problems no matter whether it is set to 'Copy Once' or 'Copy Freely', again as stated in the Diagnostics menu. This is why I suspect the problem is on the PC side, but just looking for someone to confirm they've got it working.
Thanks
David

Which version of MythTV are you running?

I just upgraded to 0.19.

I read that 0.19 included the feature to do recording off of firewire. I haven't heard anyone's experiences with it yet though. The previous method was to use someone's module they made that added into Myth for using firewire connections.
I started to set a MythTV box in the previous version but ran out of desire.
