Anyone remember the email of the guy who posted on hdcolumbus.org that worked at Time Warner? It would be great if we could get him back here again.

Yeah it sure would, what was that guys name again???? hmmm......
Sorry nobody ever indicated where this site moved to, but thankfully I got a call from an old friend and he cleared the air. I'm back, and as usual ~hiding in the corner~ Be gentle, and be nice or I'll knock a hole in the drywall

Sweet. Welcome back.
Hmm, is your name Steve? I was one of the guys that you installed the HD box a few years ago (2002).
So if you could sneak ABC/FOX in the HD channels (since ABC already has a slot with channel info). You don't have to tell anyone, just let us enter into the service mode on our HD boxes to get them manually. :)

I wish it was that easy, but sadly you all pretty much already know the truth about that stuff, so I won't pretend that I can do something we all know I'm not capable of delivering on. I read something about Charter Cable up north somehwere that was having the same issue with this "group", ahh well maybe someday before we're all too old to enjoy it.
<---that's my name, I can neither confirm nor deny my name is Steve...it's better that way if you get my drift lol

I've been in contact a few times with Judy (VP of PR) to ask questions. She's been quite helpful in the past. Most recently I've asked her about when Universal-HD should be showing up. I'm assuming it'll be on in time for the Olympics. I read somewhere (Raliegh, NC) that Feburary 1st should be the turn on time for that channel. Which is good cause I can't wait to watch curling in HD.
I've suggested to Judy in the past and I'll mention it to you. I think it would be great if TWC would have a DVR/HD box with an ATSC tuner in it. That way you just add an attenna to get all the Sinclair crap. That's what the sattellite boys have done for ages (even though they're changing). Then we could record the HD stuff from those channels and you guys don't have to pay any money to them. Personally I"m drooling over the new TiVo box that has dual CableCard (v2.0) with dual ATSC tuners.
Have you heard anything about TWC getting the new HD Mtv channel? I've not heard anything yet.

I have no knowledge of any new HD channels as of yet. As soon as I hear something and it's not "hush hush" information, I will share it with you all.

That depends on your definition of "hush hush" vs my definition. Usually speaking most of the people in Columbus know about new stuff coming down the pike about as fast as I do. That being said, is it really hush hush if somebody else already knows it? My definition of hush hush is when it's company policy to not disclose anything to the public before it's formally announced, and for good reasons. Let's say we find out that we're going to add the GLOP Channel to our lineup (GLOP doesn't exist), at the last minute there is a problem getting it up and working properly and now all these people are calling in saying "where's my GLOP channel?" As I've said before, I don't make the rules, I just fix the problems. You'll know when I know if I can release information, I'll be happy to share it with you all

Of course, I was just having fun.
I'm in a corporate world also where you can't say anything unless it's already been said before. And even sometimes I can't say that.
