wonder if these are going to be hd/sd disks? if so i will buy alot of these movies for a second time. i dont think im gonna bite on a buggy 1000 buck dvd player just yet, but if i can still buy and watch the sd versions while having the hd version as well.............. im all for that

Thats a good call. I think they were planning on that for the HD-DVD. Its one of the benefits over Blu-Ray IIRC. The best thing for them to do for market penetration, would be to add them on to normal DVD releases for the holidays at somewhat normal DVD prices (mid $20's). This way whenever people buy a normal DVD, they get the HiDef version thrown in. The more people that already have software, the quicker people will buy the players and the quicker the player costs will come down.
