Sweet. I've been playing that lately. We'll have to play sometime.

I picked up COD4 on Christmas-eve at BestBuy since it went on sale. I haven't gotten around to playing it yet but I hope to soon. I got the MS 360 steering wheel for Christmas and just played the Forza2 demo. I'll likely pick up DiRT as I enjoy the Colin McRae games.

Wow. I spent 6 hours last night playing COD4. This is, by far, the best in the series, IMHO. Of course, I could be biased because I spent 5 of my 8 year Army career in Special Operations :D (10th Group SOCEUR)

I'm doing pretty well--half way through the Act II--but I went online to play and got throttled. We need to setup some HDC COD4 action!

I've yet to get a game console for the TV. I"ve always been into the game scene for PC's vs TV. Just seems the consoles change so often in such a short time where with a PC, I can continue to play the game even several years later regardless if I upgrade my computer.

I'm sure I'm missing a few things and it's a bit OT, but any insight as to the advantage of a game console appreciated.

Special ops, Scott? Wow. I'll do my best not to write anything to make you mad!

Anyway, I had 25-30 (about 12 kids) of my wife's family over to the house on the 23rd. Yes, it was Festivus! Not much airing of grievances though. Some feats of strength. The kids had a blast playing guitar hero on the xbox on the big screen. They stayed in the basement all night. What a great idea that thing was. I would highly recommend the 360.

That's an event thing on new years eve at our house too. About 25-30 gamers and non gamers alike usually show-up every year, a few bringing their own XBoxes to add to the all night group play on our home network. The last couple of years we've had as many as 3 monitors in the living room alone, each with quad split displays, to help accommodate all the game players. This year the gamers will have to share time on the XBoxes with Guitar Hero and Rock Band's battle of the bands. Loads of fun.

At other times through the year the XBox can also be used as an extender for Media Center allowing you to view all your family's digital photos and home videos on the big screen.

With the XBox 360, it's much easier to do things like keep track of friends and join online games with them. It's very easy to download demos as well.

The biggest thing, however, is that it is just better to play on my 100" screen with the nice surround sound system while sitting on my couch. It's also much easier with people over for everyone to enjoy it.

Yeah, I really liked it as well. I've already played through the single player. My little brother and I have been playing some online as well. I like the upgrade system they have for online play based on your performance and the weapons you use.

We should definitely setup some online parties.
