As seen on engadgetHD (http://www.engadgethd.com/2007/12/17/columbus-ohio-next-to-get-atandt-u-verse/) it looks like Columbus will be getting access to U-Verse as of December 24th. The biggest problem I have with this service is that I can only get one HD channel at a time. According to their site you can do 1 HD with 3 SD streams but not 2 HD streams. I wish I could get 10Mb/10Mb down/up for the internet service bundled with the U-Verse, right now they only have the 6Mb/1Mb service. Anyone signing up for this? Maybe I should see if I can test it out for HDColumbus...

According to the uverse web site, it is available in my area.
I'm not ordering it.
I have three HD and three analog cable-ready TVs. I would now need a box for every one. I like the setup I have now, one SA8300HD and two cablecards.
I'm glad the cable companies have some competition.
Is anyone here going to order it? They have updated the channel lineups and marked all the locals as HD channels.

I'd get it with the exception of only recording one HD channel at a time. If they get that fixed to 2 or more, I'm in. Until then, not so much.

Nope, I have too much invested in my HDTivo with cablecards and my DVR from Insight (with their 7Mbit connection). It's funny, my friend called and told me about it (he works fr AT&T) and I'm like, ummm...how many HD streams at once? Sorry. :D There's times when I have 4 HD streams recording at once, so one isn't going to work for me.

Their internet service sounds interesting to me... The restrictions on HD, not so much. Even if it's not 10/10, 1 up is still better than I have with Insight now.

As a Dish customer on OTA I might add this on one set for additional local HD tuner/DVR. WGN HD in top 100 would be great if they show Cubs/Sox games which they may not. As an AT&T internet/phone it would be nice to see a complete bundle especially as I was thinking of using their cellular service. I need to look at the numbers a bit before any decision. Seems like a good option though for some of my friends with basic tv/internet needs and certainly those who want BTN.

it's not just recording that's limited....you can only watch one HD station at a time. that's a deal breaker right there. often times we have more than one TV going and if one HD station is all you're allowed than forget it. it's nice they allow recording of up to 4 programs at once but it's not much good if only one is HD.
I'd get it with the exception of only recording one HD channel at a time. If they get that fixed to 2 or more, I'm in. Until then, not so much.
