Woot, bought one of these this weekend! Just got a 8300HD/DVR from WOW for it. Is is bad that all I want to do now is watch HD programming on it?

I have no issues with this TV so far, no banding like others have reviewed. Clear picture and it is thin as can be. Looking for a wall mount now and mounting it on the wall soon. We went from a 32" 4:3 HD TV from 6 years ago, to this 52 Inch. I want a 1080P player but can't spend the cash just yet, Don't want to buy the "beta max" player, and the LG on the front page is 1K.....

Yeah, nice LCD. Picked up the 46" from BB on Black Friday for a awesome deal. Wall mounted it using a mount bought on ebay for $1 + $32 shipping. Is a good quality wall mount near identical to the Sanus brands. Turn the sharpness setting all the way down to 0 and the picture quality will look 100x better. I was going to return it because the picture was really bad until I turned down the sharpness setting.

The only thing I don't like is that it can't scan both standard cable and HD channels at the same time. I have Insight cable and don't use a cable box. I bought a separate Samsung HDTV tuner just to watch local HD. I might switch to Time Warner because I heard Insight's digital signal will not work well with Sharp's QAM tuner.

I have WOW and 2 SHarp LCDs, the other has a Cable card in it and it works great. I switched from insuck to Wow, love the change.

Congratulations. Just got my Sharp 42D64U 3 weeks ago. Hooked up to WOW! with a SA8300HD-DVR as well. I got the calibration settings from a guy off of the AVS Forum and it made the picture amazing.
