Visit Genesis Audio in Gahanna at Johnstown and Morse. They are my local favorite.

Another vote for Genesis here. snodgrass23 will also have some recommendations.

I also recommend Genesis (they carry Paradigm). Any reason why you're only looking for Paradigm? I like their speakers, but would recommend going to different places and listening to as many different speakers as you can. You can bring your own CD's as well. I was actually looking for Paradigm and B&W at first, but the first time I heard a pair of Martin Logans, I knew I had to have them. It's the difference between having a system that you like and think sounds good, and one that you love and gives you goose bumps when you sit down and listen to your favorite album. I'm just saying listen to enough different ones, and one will stand out to you. Speakers are the most personal piece of audio equipment, and everyone has different opinions.

Here are a few suggestions for local stores to check out.

Progressive Audio http://www.progressiveaudio.com/
(downtown near campus)
Used to have many showrooms with very exotic equipment (where I first fell in love with Martin Logan speakers), but they have cut back on the showrooms as they now specialize in custom high end installations. Used to have the top of the line Wilson's available to listen to(@$85k/pair).
Audio Product Lines: Audio Research, B&W, Denon, Krell, Rotel, Thiel, Wilson, Musical Fidelity, etc...

Digital Interiors http://www.diginteriors.com/
(NW Columbus, Riverside Drive near 161)
Newer store just opened last year. I was impressed with their showrooms. They have an excellent Martin Logan selection on hand (which I really liked) and were very friendly and knowledgeable.
Audio Product Lines: Atlantic Technology, Martin Logan, Monitor Audio, Triad, ADA, Adcom, NAD, Pioneer Elite, etc...

Audio Encounters http://www.audioencounters.com/
(NW Columbus on 161, just west of Sawmill)
Not as impressive personally as the other two, but a nice selection of a wide range of prices and styles. I purchased my Rotel receiver from here. It's a pretty good sized store with lots to look at.
Audio Product Lines: Denon, Marantz, Yamaha, Rotel, Magnepan, Paradigm, Sennheiser, Bagend, Klipsch, B&K, McIntosh, etc..

Any body know what happen to a guy as Avail Tech from the old site? I know he did installs, but he had good info.

snodgrass:

nice post. Thanks for the advice. I have tried the following speakers so far: Paradigm Studio 60 & 100. They sounded amazing. Then I tried the Kplich RB-61, was even more impressed. I have decided I want to go with bookshelf speakers, my apartment is kinda small so I want something more intimate :-)

Got a Denon AVR 2106, and just looking around for more stuff. Currently in Phila, looks around here to find any deals.

Does anyone have any quotes? I would be much interested in this.

They're not a Paradigm dealer, but we've omitted Absolute Theater (http://www.absolutetheater.com), in Powell.
