MOVED (from .org site):

NBC has made us a reporting station for HD issues. Once a week I am called by the HD specialist. They are looking for issues you might have with 5.1 audio, video, and the like. If you notice anything amiss during prime time HD shows, let me know. As always, you can call me on my cell phone for a quick answer or problem resolution. Don't worry about calling me late, my operators don't. My phone is always on 24 hours a day. 614-205-4028

COLUMBUS, Ohio—NBC 4’s over-the-air signal is down for maintenance Monday morning.

The maintenance and outage were scheduled, and the outage is temporary.

Viewers with converter boxes are affected.

NBC 4 will restore the signal as soon as possible.

Their signal is perfect for me, but the geek in me wonders if they are ever going up to 1000kw. Now that WPTO analog is off the air, I would think they would be able to maximize power. I'm not a big fan of the stingy bandwith devoted to 4-2 - it looks washed out to me.

Lately I've noticed the audio isn't 100% when the news is on. It's almost like a static-like addition to the audio, perhaps under the audio, as the audio comes through fine, but with some static along with it. It's enough to be annoying, and that's about it.
