Scott is always working on ways to keep them from even registering. They're always going to find ways around it, unfortunately. We just have to keep ahead of the curve as much as we can and delete any spam accounts that make it through as soon as we see them.

I prune users once a week; I just deleted over 60 users tonight. The problem is that although I can ban e-mail domains, the individuals getting through are using @yahoo.com and @hotmail.com addresses. I can ban these domains; but, so many legitimate users have these e-mail address domains, I can't ban them. We're about 4 versions behind the most current vBulletin RC; but, in order to get the patches, I'll need to shell out another $100+.
