It's weird I started reading about the new push yesterday and Directv on Demand (DoD) and this morning at 4:49am I received the push. :D

Could it be because I came home and added my HR20 to my network and played with the photo and music feature or just by chance? The DoD doesn't work yet, but I read that it takes some time to configure itself, so it should be working this evening.

I hate to send people to other forums from here, but on DBStalk.com they have everything you can imagine on this box. If you don't like certain features or are having troubles they have workarounds or solutions for this box. I just got my HR20 last week. I've been a long time Tivo user and so far it's not great but it's going to be a really great system soon and oh yeah it has tons of HD channels to pass my time while I'm learning new ways to do things...

I got mine at 5:49 am today (Oct 30).

It took about 3 1/2 minutes to download a 6 minute clip from The Daily Show. You can play a show from the beginning while it is downloading. It shows up in your playlist just like other shows.

I must have gotten the update this AM, too, since my blue light ring was lit up. I keep that turned off (simultaneously press left-right nav buttons on the HR20 3 or 4 times. Whatever engineer thought that light ring up will have to stare at it for eternity when he/she dies and goes to hell :mad: ). Oh well, I guess it does make for a pretty good powerfail or software update indicator...

Haven't had a chance to check it out yet, though. It's been a busy morning.

Either everyone else's push worked on here or I'm the only one that cared about the push, but my DoD still isn't working. DBStalk.com is saying it could take a few days before content downloads, while others are all working perfectly. TVPat's has worked from the beginning of the push. Anyone else working or having problems?

this sounds good. Somehow I missed this original post. I haven't watched anything the last couple of days, but will make sure to check this out tonight.

<edit>It looks like I got the update, but I didn't realize the on-demand required the network connection. I don't have any more connections available to hook to it right now, but will look into it soon.
