Why is the Buckeye game on both ABC & ESPN? Nothing against OSU, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to see the Penn St./Michigan game.

That game was supposed to be aired on WSYX. The PSU v. Mich was supposed to be on ESPN in Ohio and in "Chicago"; ESPN had been scrolling this on the bottom of their screens for a couple of days now!

This sucks... Too bad WSYX isn't putting the M game on 6-2. At least then the folks who have ESPN and HD OTA would be able to see it.

I just discovered that on their site. So then the new question is: Why isn't ESPNHD showing the Michigan game? I have OSU on ABC & ESPNHD, and I am blacked out on the regular ESPN channel.

Following are games that are regionalized:
ABC 3:30 p.m ET Penn State at Michigan [viewers in Ohio and Chicago will see Northwestern at Ohio State]
8 p.m ET Iowa at Wisconsin or Washington State at USC. Map http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/notebook?page=gamedayKickoff074.
ESPN 3:30 p.m Northwestern at Ohio [viewers in Ohio and Chicago will see Penn State at Michigan]
Saw this on ESPN.com

Looks like PSU/Mich is on ESPN and OSU/NW is on ESPN HD and ABC HD on TW.

So I'm getting screwed around by DIRECTV?

Yup, looks like it. I'm getting the "Program not available in your area" message on D* ESPN non-HD 206.

PSU/Mich is definitely on ESPN and OSU/NW is on ESPN HD and ABC HD on TW. The 2nd half of the PSU/Mich game just started of ESPN.
After not having the Buckeyes on at all for the first two weeks, now TW has them on two channels at once! Well technically 3 if you count ABC SD. :-)

Classic FUBAR. Didn't see this until after the game was over. Oh, well. At least I could watch ND get beat up by the Spartans. :D

Yeah, this sucked! The OSU game was a snoozer and I wanted to put the M/PSU on the other TV. Totally a FUBAR!

This was a totally stupid move by ESPN/ABC. On E*, we had the Mich/PSU game on an ESPN Alt station. I ended up splitting my screen and having OSU/NW on one side and Mich/PSU on the other. I had no idea that Mich/PSU was on ESPN (not ESPNHD), if it indeed was on E*. I don't watch non-HD ESPN. Totally stupid. Why did we need OSU on both ABC and on ESPNHD? Somebody wasn't thinking straight.

Was the PSU game covered by an HD production truck?
The either/or program descriptions made my TiVo's wishlist find and record both games, but I don't have ESPNHD.

I'm sure that they did have an HD truck at PSU. But none of the HD channels that I have carried it (ABC and ESPNHD).
<sarcasm follows> Heck, we should just have the OSU games on ALL channels every Saturday. Just like a presidential address.
Now, I'm a fan, but one HD broadcast of an OSU game is enough.

Hehehe just a thought. Maybe TW purposefully put in on WSYX and ESPNHD for spite. If we can't have BTN at a reasonable price, we will just put the games we can air on multiple channels...lol.

This ESPN regional carriage has gotten ridiculous. The MSU v. UW game is airing on ABC, so it's being blacked out on ESPN! Seems like if one chooses to pay for satellite service he should not be forced to use (or pay for) an OTA antenna as well. That's just my opinion, but I'm sure there are several members of Congress who disagree vehemently.
