Looks to me like CBS will do 5 games each week in HD this year. Wasn't it only 2 or 3 last year? Now if only we could get them to do all of them in HD.

Geez Fest, greedy, how many can you see at one time. I have D* and NFL ST SF, but still almost every game is already in HD.

No, FlyingJ, I can't watch them all. But I would like the one broadcast locally to always be in HD, wouldn't you?

Yup, Fest, I kind of thought that it had to pretty much be the crappy game of the week to not be in HD. But then I remember, your a Browns fan??

I believe as part of the CBS NFL contract, they had to show 3 games in HD 2 years ago, 4 last year, and 5 this year. Next year it is 6.

Well it only took until week 2 to get a non HD locally. The Bengals Browns game is not listed as HD.

This surprises me somewhat. With all of the controversy surrounding the Browns and the Bengals' gradual rise in ratings, I would have guessed this one to be a no-brainer for an HD match-up.

That's really disappointing. They must think it's going to be a blowout.

It amazes me how every espn, espn2 and abc college game (at least the ones that I've seen) can be in HD but the NFL/CBS still can't get it done. Even WKYC in Cleveland was able to shoot the preseason games in HD and provide the coverage to WBNS. I'm willing to bet that the Browns at Raiders the following week won't be HD either.
I know that the Browns stink, but they're still an NFL team even if they don't play like one most of the time. The NFL and CBS need to wake up and get out of the dark ages with the SD crap.

I'm surprised there aren't any Brown's fans posting here yet after yesterday's game.

Here's a Browns fan! I won't mention yesterday's game though. I will address the lack of HD content. Like I stated earlier, it's amazing to me that the most popular sport in the nation can't air all of its games in HD. The NFL really needs to put some pressure on CBS about this.
And of course no Browns game at all this week due to the NFL's horrible scheduling forcing WBNS to pick between Browns and Bengals. Sorry D* guys, I can't justify the cost of the NFL package to pick up the few games that I would normally miss.

Hey I have D* and I don't buy the package either.

Good for you, Robbiee19. What is D* charging now for that package anyway?
Here's what I don't understand about the NFL. I can't figure out why they won't let stations multicast. For example, let WBNS show the Bengals on 10.1 and the Browns on 10.2. Wouldn't that be a win for everyone? For everyone except D*.
