To find out if you'll be able to pull in local channels through your OTA antenna, check out antennaweb.org (http://antennaweb.org/aw/Address.aspx). Simply enter your zipcode, choose your housing type, and choose whether or not there are obstructions in your area. Antennaweb will then calculate the probablility of signal, signal strength, and directional antenna location (choose digital stations only).
Here is what mine looks like from 43054 in New Albany:

I was having problems with my reception and went to this site and entered my address and then received the degrees from my house to point. turns out i was 20 degrees off! I went to my roof with a cheap compass and was able to fix my problem! It really helped.

Not a real good friend. It only comes up with 1 local digital station for me at the 44827 zip code when I can actually get about 15 from various locations. It is pretty darn conservative on its estimates. WOSU Columbus is only 45 miles away with a really strong signal for me and it doesn't even show that one. Oh well, there are other resources such as the FCC.
