Got the basement done and just love it! 106 inch screen with 720p projector. Picture is flawless.

The set up includes a second vip622 in the basement. Obviously, TV1 is the projector. TV2 is split between the room next to screen and the master bedroom on my first floor.

My problem is that I can't get my UHF remote to consistently work while in my master bedroom. The 622 in the basement is low, near the floor and buried inside a TV stand. From the master, the signal needs to travel through the floor and through an insulated wall to get to the stand.

I tried to use a splitter at each end as Dish suggests and place the antenna in the master. It works a bit better but still not too well. My cable run may be too long for the signal. It's probably near 100 feet of cable. And if I'm in the second room in the basement it almost certainly wouldn't work as the signal would have to travel upstairs and through a second insulated wall.

Anyone ever try a length of coax attached to the remote antenna in on the 622 then a bigger, better antenna attached to that? How about an amp? If no one has had this issue I'm just wondering what you guys think might work.

I'll try to take a few pics tonight to post. And I got this issue solved. I combined the tv2 out with the uhf remote in. I then split them back out just under my master bedroom and attached a vhf dipole antenna, hung upside down. Works great.
