Well, on Friday I had T/W HD installed, they put in a 8300HDC unit and said "if you have any questions or something isn't right, call support, they've not provided any training on these units yet". I asked him to check that all signal levels were well withing tolerance and he just gave me a blank stare....
I set the 8300DHC for 1080 output at 16x9 and found that the SD channels, many of them, look like crap, the HD channels look great, but there is no HD for many of the channels I watch.
I was watching a show on USA, HD if I remember correctly, and about 5 times during the show the voices would stutter for about 2 seconds and I would see blocky pixelation in areas of the screen - it would go away and not return for a couple minutes.
I watched ESPN2, auto-races, and found that the Images when the car pulls into the PITS, as they pan around the car (I assume it was due to all the stickers and differences in visual) would seem blocky and then get better when they were on a less busy view....
Any ideas what this is?
