Projector Mounting Question

The basement is getting drywalled this week. So I get to start thinking about my AV solution now.

I'm getting a drop ceiling installed that will be few inches below the floor joists. What is the best way to mount a projector from the ceiling? I was thinking of attaching the mount to a joist. Then cutting a hole in the drop ceiling for the tube.

Anyone else have any ideas on the best way to do this?

Thats usually how it's done. Another way to do it is to get a replacement drop ceiling tile with mount built in. We have one here at work. It's a metal piece that fits in the drop ceiling in place of a tile and the projector bolts to it.

That replacement tile sounds interesting. I'll see if I can find one online.
