Like the title says. I need opinions on the pro and cons of the D* HR20. I have two H20, but need to know if the OTA on the DVR is good. Things like that
Thanks.

I have really kind of enjoyed the HR20. It has fluked out a couple of times and needed rebooted, but that seems to have stopped recently. (Now that I say that It'll freeze up real soon)
I've recorded more tv (High def and standard) than I could possibly watch and still have only gotten the Hard Drive 75% full.
The OTA Tuners are pretty good. I don't notice anything different from the other tuner I had (Voom Box). To be honest, I seem to watch locals more over the satellite than OTA.
I just got an HR20 -- since I've never had a Tivo, I guess I don't know what I'm missing -- I've seen lots of complaints that folks who are used to using a Tivo don't like the HR20.
In general, I like the ability to timeshift -- we can also watch 24 AND Heroes in HD, even though they come on at the same time. It can record two channels plus whatever you're watching simultaneously.
The ATSC tuner compares favorably to the Samsung SIR TS160 I have. With the 160, WOSU would get dropouts, but the HR20 seems to hold the signal better.
All in all, I'm pretty pleased with it.

Well I ordered the HR20 and install will be this Saturday. I never had Tivo either, so I won't know what I am missing.

Just had the HR20 installed this morning. But I can't play with it because the 7 yr old is sick on the couch watching movies! Can't wait to play around with it. One thing I have noticed is it runs cooler than the H20 does.

Love mine, locals are MPEG4, so far, as good as OTA!! By the way, check out Discovery HD Theater, on D* they are now in FULL HD,,,yup you heard it FULL FREAKIN HD and you can tell. Looks like a sign of things to come!
