I know about the online WiiTracker and what not. But does anyone have an in or any information on how to get one locally? Friends and family know I'm a tech geek so they always ask me, and on this one, I am clueless.
I was thinking MicroCenter might be enough off the beaten path for games to be a good place to start.

I honostly haven't seen any in the stores except the one I got a couple of months ago. The last time I stopped in Target last week was the first time I've even seen extra controllers (as in more than one and usually not that many). It's pretty crazy how hard to find they still are.

Look for them in the Sunday ads and then show up at the store before opening. I think the stores are mostly holding them until sunday. I'm not sure how long before opening you have to show up, but I would get there at least 1 hour before.

I actually saw 3 sitting in the case at the Target on West Broad Street on saturday morning, and it wasn't the crack of Dawn either. But I don't think they lasted long, we were in the store for about 20 minutes, and the game section is always my first stop. When we were leaving I saw a lady walk out to her car with one and witness a very funny ritual as she pounded on the window and raised it above her head, this was a met with maniacal screams of joy from whoever was inside. It was pretty funny.
Anywho, that is the only time I have ever seen them in stock and on a shelf. Before I only ever saw one get put into my hands on launch day (new best buy on stringtown road) and one get put into someone elses hands a few weeks later at a gamestop when I was trying to track one down for my Uncle.
If you want to be annoyed, my Uncle did get one finally before christmas (no small feat), but he just hooked it up 2 weeks ago. I wanted to slap him.

I would recommend checking out CheepAssGamer.com for Wii info. In their forum they have a guy who gets the Sunday flyers and reports what video game stuff is listed. He always states if the ad has the Wii advertised at all. Personally I picked up a Wii a few weeks ago at Toy-R-Us. I read on CAG that they were getting another shipment so I headed over there about and hour and a half before they opened on Sunday. I was number 35 in line by that point. Lucky for me they had about 45 units to sell.

Friend just picked up 3 of them at Walmart on Tuttle. Walked in, and there they were. Bizarre. Thanks for all the pointers and help.

The Polaris Costco gets them on certain Wednesdays about once a month and puts them out around 4:00... I've seen them sitting on shelves at the Sawmill Target a couple times also.

Target at Mill Run has about 15 in stock, if anyone is still looking. Picked one up today.
