HDC Sponsors Little League Baseball!

Thought it was appropriate to post this on the official opening day of baseball :D

At any rate, HDC is sponsoring a Johnstown Youth Athletic Association (JYAA) Little League coach-pitch baseball team this year. A couple of teams still needed sponsors so I decided to advertise a little HDC while supporting JYAA at the same time. I'll take photos and post them once I get a look at the jerseys and when the little buggers take the field.

The screening company sent me a picture of the jerseys yesterday--looks like we are navy with white/gray.

I think they look good!

That's really cool! Did the company create the graphic design themselves? It looks great. Too bad they did not go for gray sleeves.

I wonder how these kids explain their title sponsors to their peers...

I sent over the logo we use on our website--the screening company took some liberty. Because we were one of the late sponsors, we really didn't have much choice as far as the color/look of the jerseys. I'm pleased that we got blue/white/gray--but you're right, gray sleeves would have been cool.

I don't think the kids care too much--from what I heard, some of the sponsors get pretty crazy with the jerseys. Once I get a schedule, I'll post it here and members in the Johnstown area can stop by to root on HDC (and check out some of the other jerseys) :D

I can ask the screening company how much it would be for extra shirts. I'll let you all know once I find out and we can get an order form going for interested members.

Opening day for the JYAA baseball season was this past Saturday and I went out to grab some pictures and meet some of kids playing on the HDC-sponored team. It was cool to meet them all and the coaches as well. They landed an Apache UH-60 right after the National Anthem, and the kids went nuts.

I'm going to contact the screening company this week and post information for those who would like a shirt. I'm also going to post a schedule once it's released for those who'd like to attend a game.

<h3>HDC Little League Team Finishes in 2nd Place!</h3>Well the season is over and the HD Columbus Little League team performed extremely well!

Having only 2 losses on the season, HD Columbus made it all the way to the JYAA Championship game before losing by one run in the bottom of the last inning.

The JYAA presented us with this cool little plaque that I thought I'd share with you all.

<strong>A BIG thanks to those of you on the fourm who donated your hard-earned money to offset the costs of sponsoring a Little League team.</strong>

I think that we did some good by helping these little guys--while spreading the HD Columbus name around at the same time.

I'll be posting some more photos from the season soon.
