Frank, since I need to get up so early in the morning on a daily basis I'll probably miss tonight's Ohio State game. :(

My question is, why are the teams based in the central time zone (Memphis and Texas A&M) playing in tonight's early game while the teams based in the eastern time zone (OSU and Tennessee) are playing in the late game? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Was this a CBS decision or an NCAA decision? I don't even know if you would have the answer but I thought that I'd give it a shot.

I sure wish that OSU was the early game tonight. As I'm sure you wish as well. Seems that the late start might ding ratings a bit.

Probably a NCAA thing. You know, the NCAA says #1 seeds play near home, like San Antonio is so close to here.

Turned out to be a good game from what I've read and heard I guess. Thanks to the NCAA or to CBS for airing it so late so that no one could watch it without being seriously sleep deprived. Or without burning a vacation day.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Been tough to check in the board while we're getting ready for HD launch.

MeHDTV hit the nail on the head. It's a NCAA issue. I think CBS has some say in tiptimes/scheduling but not much.
