Well, I took a leap to buy this monitor for the home office. This is the monitor I have at work and use for enterprise achitecture I do for the Air Force. So I some how talked the wife into getting it for the home office because I do home telecomm sometimes. Man this monitor is sweet! The wife fell in love instandly to it and the kids are mad! They only have lap tops. At work its only hooked up with the RGB connection, but at home I hooked up with the DVI and it does make a differences.

I've been using a Dell 2005WFP monitor for my desktops for the past two years. While it's good for computing with the DVI and RGB inputs its lack of contrast and black level makes it less than ideal for video/HDTV viewing. The newer Dell models are more geared toward dual usage. How does it look with DVI-based HD content?

I also have the Dell 2407 on my desk at home. I like it a lot. I had to crank down the brightness a little to try and get it close for my photography, but for the price it can't be beat. My girlfriend also likes it enough that she got her work to buy one for her desk there as well.
