Hello everyone, I just bought my first HDTV and have been pulling in HD programming with a Winegard Antenna that I got for Christmas. I believe the model number is Winegard PR 7010 (http://www.winegard.com/offair/vhfuhf.htm). I have it in my attic pointed towards the major network towers. ABC, CBS and Fox all come in at 95-98%, but NBC is only 89% and recently it goes in and out quite often. The other night even Fox was having signal issues.
So did I get too big of an antenna? Should I have gotten a smaller multi-directional antenna, even though winegard's web site says that the light green antenna can do the job of a yellow and dark green...
OR does this have something to do with the weather we've been having recently (cloudy, windy, rainy)? It's getting really annoying that I live less than 5 or 6 miles from the towers and I've got this big antenna and it won't pick them up without issues.
I guess I should mention that I live in Clintonville and have a large tree across the street. It's probably right in the way of the signal, but I still get almost perfect signal out of all the major networks but NBC...
sorry for the rambling, I'm just a bit frustrated...
Thanks in advance for any replies!
