Rant On. Ok, so I've been using a Winegard outdoor antenna for a few months now and overall I've been satisfied w/ it, however I think it has an achilles heal. I cannot get it focused in so that 10 and 28 come in crystal (few/no drops) at the same time. It is OK during clear weather but the past 4 days of nonstop overcast / rainy weather have been unbearable. I am assuming it is a multipath issue. I don't mind going without HD for 51 / 53 / 34 but I draw the line at having HD for 4 / 6 /10 /28. Rant Off.

My father picked up a Phillips MANT940 Indoor/Outdoor antenna at Walmart for his new HDTV and is happy w/ it. He is located in Powell and gets a clear signal for all local channels except 51. Anyone else familiar w/ this antenna?

I'm also in Gahanna and have had HD OTA since 99. Yagi is the way to go.

Does the channel master 4-bay 4221 pull in wsyx which is in the vhf range? I just ordered one to put in my attic and I'm a bit concerned about pulling in 13.

Yes, i get a great signal for channel 13... it is so close to 14, you should not have an issue(i didn't)

Did you add an amp to your run or do you run it straight to the receiver?

You probably don't need an amp. The 4221 pulls in a lot of signal. :hdlove:

VHF channel 13 is like UHF channel -29, so it really isn't that cose to UHF 14.
(1.4m wavelength vs. 0.6m). The VHF band just propagates better so you need less of an antenna to get it.
